Bio
Whitney Greer describes her career as having more twists and turns than San Francisco’s famous Lombard Street. Her multi-faceted tale of reinvention – stemming from Apple’s marketing hallways to a dozen years training spokespeople for prime time – is full of Wabi Sabi moments where a shift in perspective turned mistakes into opportunity. In her first book, Wabi-Sabi at Work, she shares her journey and offers guidance to those who want to drop the Uberleader idea of perfection and gain satisfaction from bringing their whole self to work.
Whitney has authored numerous articles on Wabi Sabi at Work, Building Professional Brand and Finding Authentic Voice. She frequently speaks to associations and organizations across the country including Women in Cable, the Public Relations Society of America, and the National Association of Women Business Owners.
A strong advocate of student advancement and a life-long learner, Whitney chaired the 2009 San Francisco Public Relations Roundtable scholarships program and serves as a writing coach for Berkeley middle school students. After three cross-country moves, she settled in the Berkeley hills where she gains inspiration for new ventures by exploring surrounding trails with her dog, husband, and teenage daughters.
